High praise for Tocqueville Program

In a piece for the John William Pope Center for Higher Education Policy, Jane S. Shaw praises Furman’s Tocqueville Program and its efforts to inform students about the relevance of traditional political philosophy.  The highly-touted program, which has been in operation for seven years, brings some of the nation’s most respected thinkers to campus and sponsors a seminar in political thought, with the specific topic changing each year.
